The New England Patriots have typically held joint practices with another team during the preseason, but it appears that won't be the case this year.
The Patriots' preseason camp schedule does not include any practices with another team, according to Phil Perry of NBC Sports Boston.
Unless there is a scheduling change, it would be the first time since 2011 that the Patriots have not had a joint practice session.
Patriots head coach Bill Belichick likes working with preseason opponents, which also gives him a chance to look at other teams' players.
Every time the Patriots have practiced with another team since 2010, they have later signed someone who was an opposing player during the joint practice.
Last season, the Patriots worked with both of their first two preseason opponents, the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars.
New England's first two preseason games this year are against the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles. The Patriots worked with Washington in 2014 and with Philadelphia in both 2013 and 2014.
Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said earlier that his team would not have a joint practice session this summer.
New England begins camp July 26 at the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium.
